[6:05 PM] Saint Joseph’s v. Ole Miss

Who will WIN this matchup?

Saint Joseph’s Hawks (3-0)

Ole Miss Rebels (3-0)

The line for this game is Ole Miss by 3 points.

Deandre Burnett leads five double-digit scorers for Ole Miss, which takes on Saint Joseph’s on Sunday in the semifinals of the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands. The Rebels have averaged 90.3 points in their three season-opening victories, although their defense probably isn’t going to be winning any awards this season.

Kimble’s scoring has increased in all three games from 16 in the season opener to 19 last Monday to his career night versus Loyola. He is averaging 20.3 points after averaging six per game a season ago and Shavar Newkirk is scoring with him, stride for stride, on the young season. Newkirk is averaging 21.7 points – up nearly 14 points from a season ago – including a 28-point effort in a season-opening win against Toledo.

The Rebels’ three victories have come by three points, two points and a seven-point overtime win. Burnett scored five straight points with Ole Miss trailing late in regulation against Oral Roberts as the Miami (Fla.) transfer continues to shine early in his Rebels career. Terence Davis is contributing 15 points per game, while Cullen Neal adds 13 and Sebastian Saiz chips in 12.7 to go along with a team-high 9.3 rebounds for Ole Miss.

The winner of this game will face either Creighton or North Carolina State in the Paradise Jam title game.

Ole Miss F Justas Furmanavicius has missed 11 of his 14 shots this season and only played 12 minutes in the overtime win against Oral Roberts.

Saint Joseph’s freshman F Charlie Brown has averaged 12 points over the last two games.
