With top spot in the group already secured, the result of this match means relatively little although Simeone will still demand a win to keep their momentum in the competition going. Filipe Luis is one booking away from a ban in the next stage of the competition and may not be risked here. Lucas Hernández may deputise as a result. Gimenez could also profit with some extra playing time given the circumstances of this match.

• Kingsley Coman and Julian Green are the only injury concerns for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
