• Manchester City will be without Sergio Aguero for the next four matches following his red card in the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea last weekend. Kelechi Iheanacho will deputise in his absence. Fernandinho was also sent off in the defeat and is banned for three games. Yaya Toure and Ilkay Gündogan could form the midfield two. Nicolas Otamendi is suspended for one-match after reaching five yellow cards for the season last weekend. Raheem Sterling has missed City’s last two matches through injury and remains a doubt here for Pep Guardiola’s side. Vincent Kompany is sidelined for the near future, while Fabian Delph lacks match fitness.

• Claudio Ranieri made wholesale changes for Leicester’s final Champions League group stage match which they lost 5-0 to Porto. He will recall all of his usual starts for the reception of Manchester City on Saturday. Kasper Schmeichel hasn’t featured in over a month but is on the verge of returning to first-team action. Ranieri will be keen to have his No.1 goalkeeper this weekend.

• Manchester City need a response after their 3-1 defeat to Chelsea in which they completely lost their heads towards the end. They are four points adrift of the league leaders but come up against the perfection opposition to get back on track.

• Leicester are winless in five league matches and even carried their poor domestic form into the Champions League in midweek after being thrashed 5-0 away to Porto. They have only lost one league game at home this season, but are now only two points above the bottom three.

• City have won three of their last four away from home in the league and should have enough to overcome some key absences on Saturday. Just one clean sheet in their last 16 matches in all competitions does at least give Leicester a glimmer of hope.
