•  Arsenal’s 22-match unbeaten run came to an end at Southampton on Sunday, with the Gunners falling to a 3-2 loss on the south coast. Having already overcome Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium this month, they’ll be confident of doing so again in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup clash.

•  Following that 4-2 loss at Arsenal, Spurs have won their last three league games and successfully secured their spot in the next round of the Champions League with a 1-1 draw at Barcelona and they’ll be looking to progress to the next round of a second cup competition in the space of a week in north London.

•  Mauricio Pochettino will hope to maintain the club’s unbeaten run and in their desperate hope for silverware, will be looking to secure their semi-final spot at Arsenal’s expense. However, Unai Emery has proven himself to be an astute cup manager in the past and we could see a second classic encounter between these two in the space of a couple of weeks that may go all the way at the Emirates.
