• After a bright start to the season, Everton have begun to drop down the table and come into Sunday’s welcome of Tottenham on a four-match winless run. Three successive defeats means Rafa Benitez is under pressure to win here.

• Antonio Conte oversaw a 3-2 Europa Conference League win in his first game in charge of Tottenham on Thursday night, but having been 3-0 up inside half an hour, there is plenty of work to be done to tighten Tottenham up. They are at least unbeaten in eight in the league at Goodison Park.

• With Spurs on a high following’s Conte’s appointment, the north London side may pile further misery upon this downtrodden Everton outfit on Sunday afternoon.
