•  Liverpool will advance to the next round of the competition if they beat Paris Saint-Germain and Crvena Zvezda do not beat Napoli. PSG are eliminated if they lose and Napoli win. Liverpool are the only team to beat PSG in any competition this season, winning the reverse fixture 3-2. PSG have only won one Champions League group match this season (W1, D2, L1).

•  It would be unfair to say PSG cannot beat Liverpool if neither Neymar nor Kylian Mbappe fail to recover in time but it would be a hammer blow for the French side not to have their two best players available.

•  With that in mind, it’s difficult to predict the outcome of Wednesday’s mouthwatering encounter. PSG need to win these games to prove they are elite in Europe and they would certainly fancy their chances more if Neymar and Mbappe play.
