#22 Mississippi State Bulldogs (7-1)

Current odds:

Clemson Tigers: (+145)

Mississippi State Bulldogs: (-170)

The line for the game is Mississippi State by 3.5 points.

Peters, a junior point guard, shot 9-of-16 from the floor, including 8-of-13 from long range, and had a simple explanation for his success: “When I take a good shot, I’m a good shooter.” Freshman forward Reggie Perry added 15 points and nine rebounds in just 18 minutes, a performance that came two games after recording 16 points and 11 rebounds against Alcorn State. The Bulldogs will be looking for a stronger defensive performance on Saturday, however, after allowing the Cowboys to shoot 58 percent from the field and 53.8 percent beyond the arc.

Thomas also added 12 rebounds for his 13th career double-double and third of the season. The Tigers shot just 2-of-14 from 3-point range while allowing the Peacocks to hit on 10-of-21 beyond the arc, which is ultimately what kept the game close. Clemson did manage to hit 23-of-30 free-throw attempts, including five in the final 1:33, and are shooting 73.4 percent from the charity stripe on the season.

Mississippi State nailed 14 triples against McNeese, the second-most in a game over the last four seasons.
