• The line for this game is Highlanders by 2.5 points.

• NJIT (8-6) moved to 3-0 in the America East Conference behind sophomore Lyzi Litwinko’s third career double-double (19 points, 13 rebounds) to lead the Highlanders in a close 66-64 road victory at Binghamton Saturday afternoon inside Dr. Bai Lee Court at Events Center.

• NJIT is 3-0 in conference action for the first time in the NJIT Division I era (first season 2006-07).

• The Highlanders, who are 5-1 with games decided by six points or fewer, picked up its fifth road win of the season (the most since the 2012-13 season), fourth straight victory (first time NJIT has won four straight since the 2012-13 season) and improved to 8-6 on the season.  The eight wins are the most since the 2016-17 season when NJIT finished with 11.

• This will be the Retrievers first game in 25 days (12/18 at Syracuse)

• Onome-Juliet Esadah (Warri, Delta State, Nigeria) scored a season-high 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, but the UMBC Women’s Basketball fell to host Syracuse, 82-50, on December 18.

• Janee’a Summers (Bound Brook, N.J.) scored seven points and now sits in 14th place on the UMBC all-time scoring list with 1081 points in her career, and is 43 points behind 13th place

• Syracuse (8-4) jumped out to a 10-0 lead, UMBC made four straight shots, with Settle hitting a three and making a layup, but the Retrievers still trailed 26-10 after the first

• Summers had seven 1st half points to keep UMBC within striking distance for the first part of the second quarter, but the Orange took a 44-23 lead into the break

• Esadah had a huge third quarter, scoring 11 points (on 4-4 shooting) and grabbing four boards

• For Esadah, it was her third doule-double of the season

• Jatarrikah Settle (Frederick, Md.) finished with nine points, while Summers and Danae Marquez (Fresno, Calif.) had seven points each

• Antonia May (Amsterdam, N.Y.) made her first career start
