• Stamann has a bit more variety with that ‘Detroit Superstar’ style, but he also lacks Rivera’s pop (even if Rivera hasn’t been any kind of surefire KO threat).

• Eventually, however, the big difference between the two is defense. Rivera has built himself a pretty solid, defensively minded volume counter-punching game over the years. And were it not for the knockdowns, it might have even carried him past Petr Yan.
