• Both men are brutally powerful strikers, both men have been KO’d before. But for Gaethje, his KO losses come from great consistency in the face of adversity. Opponents who were able to match his pace and aggression for round after round after round and keep coming up with solutions.

• And in response to those losses, Gaethje seems to have really cleaned up the face-first style of power kickboxing that marked so much of his early success. He’s also a good enough defensive wrestler so that Chandler can lean on that as an exit strategy if the fight starts to slip away from him.
