It hasn’t mattered who played between the pipes lately for the New York Rangers, who are just not giving up goals and pocketing victories in the process. The Rangers have allowed just four goals in the last six games and look to extend their point streak to seven contests when they host their Metropolitan Division-rival New Jersey Devils on Sunday night.

Defenseman John Moore scored New Jersey’s only goal Saturday to push his total on the season to a career-high five, but the Devils continued their swoon in the offensive end. Center Travis Zajac recorded an assist and leads the team with 23 points — three more than Taylor Hall, who was held without a point for the third consecutive contest. Veteran forward Mike Cammalleri registered an assist to reach 600 points in his career while Adam Henrique was blanked, but owns five points in the last five games overall.

Rick Nash recorded the only goal for New York in the victory at Nashville and is one of 12 players between 14 and 23 points — led by Kevin Hayes’ 23. Forwards J.T. Miller, Derek Stepan, Chris Kreider, Mats Zuccarello and Nash own at least 20 points for the Rangers, who have been especially proficient on the penalty kill over the last six games while blanking all 18 power-play chances. Raanta owns an 8-2-0 record overall this season with a 1.67 goals-against average, a .941 save percentage and a 5-0 shutout over the Devils last week.

New York RW Michael Grabner, who is a key penalty killer, leads the team with a plus-18 rating.

The Rangers are third in the league in scoring (3.30) and the Devils stand 26th (2.33)

New Jersey RW Kyle Palmieri has just four goals overall — one in the last 14 games — after registering a career-high 30 last season.
