[7:31 PM] #22 Syracuse @ #17 Wisconsin

Who will WIN this matchup?

#22 Syracuse Orange (4-1)

@ #17 Wisconsin Badgers (5-2)

The line for this game is Wisconsin by 6.5 points.

One game after struggling on offense and defense, Wisconsin essentially flipped the script in its latest victory. The 17th-ranked Badgers took care of a small-school opponent their last time out but will face a tougher task Tuesday, when they host No. 24 Syracuse in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

The Orange’s problems on Saturday included shooting from the field (31.8 percent) and the foul line (16-of-26) – not to mention 17 turnovers and a dreadful performance by the reserves, who combined for 2-of-11 shooting with seven turnovers and eight fouls. Tyler Lydon led the attack with 18 points and seven rebounds, and he went 7-of-10 from 3-point range against the two South Carolina schools. Graduate transfer Andrew White III set season lows in virtually every category on Saturday but still finished in double figures (10 points) for the fifth straight contest.

The Badgers outscored Prairie View A&M 42-18 in the paint and held a 44-26 rebounding advantage, but they likely won’t enjoy that type of success against the long and deep Syracuse squad. Ethan Happ registered 12 points and 13 rebounds on Sunday – his second double-double in the last three games and his seventh straight contest shooting at least 50 percent. Zak Showalter went 3-of-5 from long range and has made four of his last seven after starting the campaign 3-of-16.

Lydon committed six turnovers on Saturday after totaling four in his first four games.

Prior to his 5-of-5 effort on Sunday, Hayes had been 10-of-36 from the floor in his previous four contests.

Wisconsin PG Bronson Koenig, who shot around 40 percent from 3-point range each of the last two seasons, is 14-of-57 (24.6 percent) from long range this campaign.
