• Chelsea lost ground in the title race recently, following up their Carabao Cup semi-final second leg win at Tottenham with a loss at Manchester City and a draw at Brighton. That said the Blues have a superb record against Spurs and come into Sunday’s game unbeaten in 12 inside 90 minutes against their rivals.

• Spurs snatched a win from the jaws of defeat at Leicester on Wednesday night, scoring two incredibly late goals to head into the weekend’s London derby just one point and one place off fourth. The north London side have four games in hand on Chelsea and a win would see the west London side looking nervously over their shoulder.

• However, Chelsea’s fine home record against Spurs should count for something here and a narrow win is on the cards for the hosts.
