• Borussia Dortmund secured a first leg advantage with a 3-2 win in Seville last month, but any slip up will be capitalised upon by their LaLiga counterparts. A 4-2 defeat at Bayern Munich having gone 2-0 up will have dented morale, however Dortmund will look to home advantage in their bid to book a quarter-final spot.

• After coming into the first leg meeting with Dortmund on a nine-game winning run, Sevilla’s form has dropped off of late. Indeed, they have lost four of their last five, kickstarted by the 3-2 loss to the German outfit.

• Sevilla don’t necessarily need to come out all guns blazing, but they need to score quickly to get a foothold back in the tie. We could well see an open match at the Westfalenstadion, though one that Dortmund should edge on aggregate.
