• UConn advanced to the BIG EAST Tournament finals with an 84-39 win over Villanova Sunday. Junior Christyn Williams led UConn with 26 points while freshman Paige Bueckers had 18 points and eight assists. UConn out-rebounded Villanova 47-24 as four Huskies had six or more rebounds. UConn scored 44 points in the paint vs. the Wildcats. The Huskies held Maddy Siegrist, who came into the game leading the BIG EAST with 23.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, to just three points and four rebounds.
• UConn has won 25 conference tournament titles, including 18 as members of the BIG EAST. This was the Huskies’ 27th season winning a regular season conference title. Including tournament games, UConn has won 159 straight against conference opponents, dating back to 2013.

• UConn is 11-0 all-time vs. Marquette. The Huskies and Golden Eagles met twice in the regular season: an 87-58 UConn win at Marquette on Feb. 5 and a 63-53 UConn win in Storrs on March 1.
• No. 2-seed Marquette advanced to the BIG EAST Tournament finals with a 64-59 win over Creighton Sunday. Selena Lott led the Golden Eagles with 27 points in the game. This season, Lott leads Marquette with 15.2 points per game. Head coach Megan Duffy is in her second season.
• Paige Bueckers joined Maya Moore as the only players to win BIG EAST Player and Freshman of the Year in the same season with the announcement of the BIG EAST regular season honors this week. Bueckers and junior Christyn Williams were unanimously named to the All-BIG EAST First Team while Bueckers was joined unanimously by Aaliyah Edwards on the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team.
• Junior Olivia Nelson-Ododa was selected as Co-Defensive Player of the Year and was tabbed to the All-BIG EAST Second Team. Edwards earned Sixth-Woman of the Year honors. Geno Auriemma was named conference Coach of the Year for the 17th time in his career.
