Rider leads the all-time series with Canisius, 37-15. However, the recent series has been much closer, with Rider Head Coach Kevin Baggett‘s teams posting an 8-8 record against the Griffs over the last nine seasons.

Canisius is the lone team the Broncs did not face this regular season. Rider is 3-1 all-time in MAAC Championships against Canisius, with the last meeting coming in 2010-11. Rider was a top three seed in each of the four meetings.

The Griffs are led by Malek Green, who’s averaged 13.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 53.2 percent from the floor and 37.9 percent from long range. Majesty Brandon also averages in double figures at 12.4 ppg., while Jordan Henderson (8.5 ppg.), Jacco Fritz (8.4 ppg., 6.6 rpg.) and Ahamadou Fofana (8.3 ppg., 2.7 apg.) have also made strong contributions.

Rider is 14-22 all-time at MAAC Championships. The Broncs are 6-2 in MAAC Opening Round games, but have never been the No. 11 seed.

Dwight Murray, Jr. has been an all-around bright spot this season, averaging 15.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He posted three double-doubles, including a 23-point, 11-rebound performance last time out, March 5 against Monmouth.

Allen Powell has come alive of late, scoring in double figures in six of his last nine games, including a pair of 20-plus-point performances.
